The Fox River through Menasha is getting 2 new paddle launch spots to improve access along the Fox River Heritage Parkway.
Here’s more information from Michael King’s article in the Post Crescent.
MENASHA — Two floating kayak/canoe access docks are being donated for installation along the Fox River this spring, providing prime launching points for the developing Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway water trail.
The 5-by-8-foot docks, which combined cost nearly $4,300, are being donated by the Friends of the Fox and Fox Cities Greenways, two local nonprofits that support recreational trail development, including the first phase of the new water trail unveiled last May.
The floating kayak launch platforms will be installed at the west end of Jefferson Park, just south of Green Bay Street and just east of the downtown Menasha marina.
Floating dock access will make 2 convenient access spots at Jefferson Park and the Menasha Marina. When the docks go in we will be sure to get out and take photos and try out these new access points for Menasha paddlers.
Who’s looking forward to trying these new docks?
