Launch Fees for Paddlers – Northeastern Wisconsin

There is a lot of different information out there around launch fees for paddlers.  Our friend Dave Horst has put together some basic information so you can be informed on the current policies in the along the Fox River Heritage Parkway.  If you have additional information about launches please share in the comments.

 

CURRENT FEES – Non- motorized launches

 

Winnebago County 2013 Fees

County Resident $5, $25 annual

Non County Resident $5, $35 annual

Senior Citizen County Resident (55+) $5, $20 annual

 

City of Menasha

(reciprocal with Neenah, Appleton)

Resident $5, $20 annual

Nonresident $5,  $40 annual

  1. Since all of these look like $5 for a resident…why not just make a state wide sticker available one could purchase? I realize the boat landings are maintained by the county, but doesn’t the county usually get some kind of funding by the state? I would be MORE than willing to fish out say…$15 – 20 for an annual sticker if they did this (Much like my state park sticker). Just my 2 cents…

  2. Daren, Mark….there’s a free, unimproved one in Green Bay on Lazarre, just north of the 172 bridge. Parking is next to nil and in the woods, so take the mosquito spray, but where you actually launch, it’s shallow and sandy.

    • Thanks Jeff! I think it’s a great idea to add more launch information to the paddling map. It would also be great to add more of the launch locations in the region.
